A comprehensive brand program brings light and energy to the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.

Formed over 100 years ago, New York-based Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) is the preeminent voice and advocate for quality lighting. IES wanted to freshen its brand positioning and image to appeal to a new generation of members, and also raise awareness of its importance in the professional community.

IES engaged Brandlogic to develop a wide-ranging brand program. The project covered everything from a new logo that suggests bars of light and shadow, to an associated signature and new color palette, to typography, a look and feel for applications, and a brand style manual. We helped launch the brand with a new IES website and also redesigned the IES periodicals to reflect the new identity.

The result is a cohesive, powerful brand platform that reignited the Society’s membership and its engagement. Positive recognition is demonstrated by the award from the New York Society of Association Executives for the IES website.
