Case Study Archives: Branding HotMedia
When BrandLogic was asked to create a "look and feel" identity for IBM's HotMedia software, a rich-media Web authoring tool that was PC Expo’s Best of Show, the challenge was to allow the sub-brand to appeal to the young developer community, while maintaining the appropriate fit within IBM’s branding.
The result was a system that combined a lively and fun design of "action" stars and bubbles with a modern color palette. In addition to the sub-brand guidelines, BrandLogic created materials for packaging, trade shows and conferences, the "file-type" icon, product interface and splash screens, start-up and loading icons, and a system of graphics applications for the HotMedia Web pages on ibm.com.
