Brandlogic thought leaders featured in Harvard Business School manifesto on Integrated Reporting and sustainability
Brandlogic is pleased to announce its contributions to a new e-book from Harvard Business School (HBS) titled The Landscape of Integrated Reporting: Reflections and Next Steps, edited by Dr. Robert Eccles, Professor of Management Practice at HBS.

Brandlogic executives authored two articles for the e-book: Hampton Bridwell, President and CEO contributed an article on the linkages between corporate reputation and Integrated Reporting (see page 100). Denis Riney, EVP Marketing, wrote about online co-creation communities and their role in bringing consumers into the Integrated Reporting conversation (see page 188).
Integrated Reporting is an emerging management discipline that will help executives rethink their business strategies in light of the growing demand for sustainable business practices. By consolidating the reporting of financial information and non-financial factors, commonly referred to as environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, businesses can provide investors and other stakeholders a more complete picture of their overall performance.
Dr. Eccles is one of the world's leading authorities on Integrated Reporting and the co-author (with Mike Krzus, former partner with Grant Thornton) of One Report: Integrated Reporting for a Sustainable Strategy. On October 14-15, 2010, Dr. Eccles led the first-ever Integrated Reporting Workshop at HBS, which included participants from the following organizations (partial list):
AFL-CIO, American Electric Power, Bloomberg, L.P., Brandlogic Corp, CalPERS, Carbon Disclosure Project, Ceres, Cognizant Technology Solutions, The Conference Board, CRD Analytics, Deloitte & Touche LLP, Domini Social Investments, FASB, Global Reporting Initiative, Grant Thornton, Group Santander, Harvard Business Review, IFRS Foundation, International Federation of Accountants, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., KPMG AZSA, METI, Novo Nordisk, Paisley-Thomson Reuters, Philips International BV, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability Project, Rabobank, SAP, Southwest Airlines, Sustainable Future Institute, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, The Wharton School, World Wildlife Fund, XBRL International.
The e-book includes over 60 articles from participants in the workshop, looking at a variety of perspectives from investors, regulators, NGOs, technology providers, large corporations, academics and other key stakeholders.
In his foreword to the e-book, Dr. Nitin Nohria, dean of HBS, heartily supports the Integrated Reporting movement: "What excites me so much about this idea is that it has yet to fully take hold. It's always important to be in the midst of ideas and to provide support and momentum for ideas that are a little bit ahead of their time."
