Leading international brand strategist, James Cerruti, joins Brandlogic

We are pleased to welcome James Cerruti to Brandlogic as executive vice president and the managing director of our growing Brand Strategy & Research Practice.

James brings to his senior role with Brandlogic over 20 years of experience in leading strategy, marketing and brand consulting engagements worldwide. His consulting career includes executive posts as the president of Vivaldi Partners, a New York City-based marketing and brand consultancy; as one of the founding partners of FutureBrand, and as a director with Coopers & Lybrand.

At Vivaldi Partners, James was instrumental in recasting the firm’s strategy, offerings and capabilities with founder Dr. Erich Joachimsthaler, which resulted in numerous new client engagements and rapid growth of the company.

At FutureBrand, James was the primary author of that firm’s brand strategy methodologies and the leader of all its industry practices. In Coopers & Lybrand’s Strategic Management Services group, James was responsible for winning and managing the group’s first large business strategy consulting engagements in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.

James has been a pioneering thinker and practitioner in corporate, consumer, and B2B brand strategies. He has assisted many top executive teams across a variety of sectors to rethink their companies’current and future market opportunities and to reach consensus on how best to position their businesses and brands for the future.

His numerous brand strategy clients have included: Allianz, Bank of Montreal, CarlsonWagonlit Travel, CNA Financial, Deloitte, Deutsche Telecom, Dun and Bradstreet, First Union, FleetBoston, HyundaiKia Motors, KPMG, MasterCard International, Merrill Lynch, Olympus, PNC Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, RBC Financial Group, Remy Cointreau, Scudder Investments, Siemens, State Street Corporation, Telefonica, US Bancorp, and Zurich Financial Services.

His proven skill in leading many successful comprehensive branding programs, spanning research and analytics, strategy development, visual and verbal creative exploration, launch planning,  implementation, governance, and performance measurement, ensures clients they will receive guidance based on experience not simply enthuasiasm.

Prior to his career as a consultant, James worked for BankAmerica, advancing through a number of key strategic planning, marketing, and product development positions. James holds an M.B.A. in International Business from the Monterey Institute and a B.A. in Greek Archeology from Antioch University. He is fluent in Greek and conversational Spanish and French. His work has been published in the Journal of Business Strategy among others.
